Description
We are an established growing custom cabinetry and remodeling company seeking an experienced Shop Lead to oversee daily production in our cabinet shop.
We build high-end, fully custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, media walls, kitchens, bathrooms, commercial projects, and specialty woodworking. Every project is custom built, and quality craftsmanship is at the center of everything we do.
We're looking for a hands-on leader who can lead by example, mentor employees, maintain production schedules, and ensure every project leaving our shop meets the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise daily shop operations.
Assign work and manage production schedules.
Build and assemble high-end custom cabinetry and millwork.
Read and interpret shop drawings and construction plans.
Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
Perform quality control throughout production.
Train and mentor shop employees.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and installers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Identify production challenges and implement solutions.
Monitor materials and communicate inventory needs.
Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
7+ years of custom cabinetry or architectural millwork experience preferred.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a cabinet shop.
Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and woodworking equipment.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
Experience with production workflow and scheduling.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Positive attitude with strong leadership and communication abilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a production environment.
Preferred Experience:
Custom cabinetry (not production cabinets)
Architectural millwork
CNC production workflow
Cabinet hardware installation
Veneers and laminates
Shop optimization and process improvement
Employee coaching and development
