Shop Mechanic Position

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and machinery within our shop .

Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on company vehicles/equipment. (6 EA Heavy Duty diesel trucks, 5 EA pickup trucks, various sealcoating/striping equipment, and small motors/tools, etc.)
-Conduct general Shop upkeep including: end-of-day cleanup, yard maintenance and organization
-Perform occasional on site/mobile repairs. (Vehicle provided to perform mobile repairs)
-Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference.
-Follow safety protocol diligently to maintain a secure work environment for our team.

Qualifications and Requirements
-Basic mechanical skills with a desire to learn (advanced mechanical skills are preferred)
-Clean and insurable Drivers License (must provide current DMV printout)
-Own basic tools
-Possible weekend/overtime hours

Additional Notes
-This position reports to the General Shop Manager
-Benefits: Five (5) paid sick days per year, five (5) paid vacation days per year, seven (7) paid holidays per year. Medical insurance covered 75 % after 30 days; 401K eligible after 6 months.
