Sign Installation Assistant / Trade Helper – $18-$20/hr

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour (Based on tool skills & experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday – Friday 8:30am - 5pm
Note: Occasional early morning starts (e.g., 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM) or rare evening shifts are required depending on client job-site access and install requirements.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA & surrounding areas

About the Role:

We are an established local sign company looking for a reliable, motivated Sign Installation Assistant / Trade Helper to join our installation team immediately. You will work directly alongside an experienced Installer on job sites throughout the Pittsburgh area.

This is a great position for someone with a background in construction, handyperson work, carpentry, or general trades who wants steady hours, good pay, and the opportunity to learn a specialized trade.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Site Prep & Support: Load/unload installation trucks, stage materials, set up ladders/scaffolding, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

On-Site Installation: Assist in mounting post & panel signs, applying vinyl graphics to windows/walls, installing dimensional lettering, and installing exterior/interior signage.

Tool Handling: Operate power tools, impact drivers, hammer drills, levels, and measuring tapes accurately.

Independent Work: Perform basic assembly and prep tasks independently as needed.

Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Required).

Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard background check prior to hire.

Physical Ability: Must comfortably lift, carry, and maneuver 75+ lbs on a regular basis.

Comfortable at Heights: Comfortable working off 16–24 ft. ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms/lifts.

Tool Familiarity: Basic experience operating standard power tools (drills, impact drivers, tape measures, levels).

Reliability: Dependable transportation to the shop every morning—on time, every time.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
1+ years of experience in construction, carpentry, roofing, siding, or general handyperson work.

Experience applying vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, or window films.
