Austin's Largest Mobile Mechanic Service is expanding into South Austin and is looking for a highly experienced Master Automotive Technician to help establish our new South Austin operation.

We’re looking for the technician other technicians call when the answer isn’t obvious.

This is a senior-level mobile field position for an experienced technician who can confidently diagnose difficult problems, perform advanced repairs, and take ownership of jobs requiring a high level of technical judgment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and repairs
• Diagnose difficult no-start, electrical, drivability, charging, cooling, and mechanical problems
• Use professional scan tools, live data, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service information
• Verify failures before recommending parts or repairs
• Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs independently
• Handle escalated diagnostic and repair jobs
• Determine when a vehicle requires shop-level equipment or falls outside mobile service capabilities
• Provide technical guidance to developing technicians
• Clearly document diagnostic findings, repairs, and recommendations
• Communicate professionally with customers and the operations team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of professional automotive experience preferred
• Strong real-world diagnostic ability
• Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Experience with professional diagnostic equipment and scan tools
• Ability to accurately read wiring diagrams and manufacturer service information
• Professional automotive tool set
• Reliable transportation suitable for mobile service
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Professional appearance, communication, and work habits
• Ability to confidently explain your diagnosis and repair recommendations

ASE certifications are preferred, but proven ability matters most.

HELP US BUILD SOUTH AUSTIN

This position will primarily serve South Austin and surrounding communities, including:

Barton Springs • Bee Caves• Downtown/SOCO • Sunset Valley • South Austin and surrounding areas

We're establishing a new South Austin service territory and are looking for experienced technicians who want to be part of building it from the ground up.

Our goal is to build a structured automotive service company with:

• Dedicated operations support
• Defined technician levels
• Standardized dispatch procedures
• Consistent diagnostic and repair processes
• Technical support between technicians
• Opportunities for experienced technicians to take on leadership responsibilities

This position is part of our senior Team Alpha technician group — technicians trusted to handle difficult jobs, assist other technicians, and set the technical standard for the territory.

THIS IS NOT A BASIC OIL-CHANGE JOB
