Skilled Carpenter/Foreman - High Peaks Construction Company

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled professional who takes genuine pride in their craft and wants to be part of a company committed to exceptional workmanship, quality construction, and long-term durability.

Our projects span a broad range of high-quality residential and light commercial construction. We approach every project with an emphasis on precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail — from the initial layout through the final installation.

You should be comfortable working independently, interpreting plans, solving problems in the field, and holding yourself and those around you to a high standard.

Responsibilities:
-Read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
-Perform high-quality framing, siding, roofing, and exterior opening installations
-Accurately lay out walls, openings, fixtures, rooflines, and other structural components
-Measure, cut, fit, and install materials with precision
-Maintain consistent quality and attention to detail throughout every phase of construction
-Execute complex carpentry details and solve job-site challenges efficiently
-Properly operate and maintain hand and power tools
-Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
-Work independently while coordinating effectively with the project team
-Provide leadership and direction to less-experienced crew members when appropriate
-Follow established safety practices and maintain a professional work environment

Skills & Experience:
-Minimum 5 years of professional carpentry experience
-Strong framing experience with a thorough understanding of building practices
-Proven experience with siding, roofing, windows, and exterior doors
-Standing-seam metal roofing experience preferred but not required
-Finish carpentry experience preferred
-Strong understanding of construction materials, building methods, and installation techniques
-Ability to accurately interpret architectural and construction drawings
-Exceptional attention to detail and pride in workmanship
-Proficient with hand and power tools
-Strong layout and measuring skills
-Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
-Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to producing quality work
-Strong communication and leadership skills
-Commitment to job-site safety and professional standards

Requirements
-5+ years of professional carpentry experience
-Valid driver's license preferred
-Reliable transportation to job sites
-Ability to reliably commute to Hinesburg, VT
