Skilled Craftsman/General Construction Worker

Are you a motivated, hands-on individual with experience in construction, trades, equipment operation, or someone who specializes in one area but isn’t afraid to jump into others? Pasternak Property Services is hiring a Skilled Craftsman/General Construction Worker to support our growing operation.

We are a small, family run multi-service business specializing in demolition, construction, additions and remodeling, general contracting, excavation and site work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working on different types of projects.

Position Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Assist with demolition, construction, remodeling, and general contracting projects
Support excavation and site work operations
Perform carpentry and general construction tasks as needed
Operate machinery and equipment (based on experience and training)
Occasional power washing and property maintenance tasks
Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment
Maintain tools, equipment, and job sites to company standards
Work independently or as part of a crew after proper training
Follow safety procedures and maintain a professional, positive attitude

Preferred Skills & Experience (Pluses, not all required):

General construction knowledge including but not limited to plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc.
Experience with demolition, excavation, carpentry, or remodeling
Machine operation experience
CDL license (or ability to obtain one)
Familiarity with site work and material handling
Mechanical aptitude
Strong project and time management skills
We are open to candidates who specialize in one or two trades or those with working knowledge across multiple areas.

Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Valid driver’s license (required)
Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
Ability to work independently and with a team
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Available for part-time (minimum 2–3 days/week) or full-time work

Compensation & Schedule:
$20–$35/hour, based on skill level, experience, and responsibility
Full-time or part-time flexibility
