About the Role:

Our Level 2 Mechanic is a highly skilled, hands-on position that plays a critical role in the success of our service team. In this role, you'll inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of vehicle systems, helping ensure our customers' vehicles operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

Engine Repair & Cooling Systems

Diagnose and repair common engine concerns
Perform tune-ups and replace components such as belts, hoses, spark plugs, and gaskets
Inspect, maintain, and repair cooling system components including radiators, thermostats, water pumps, and hoses
Diagnose coolant leaks and perform cooling system services
Suspension & Steering
Inspect, diagnose, and repair steering and suspension systems
Perform wheel alignments and suspension component replacements
Evaluate tire wear patterns and vehicle handling concerns
Ensure vehicle stability and performance through proper system calibration
Brake Systems
Diagnose and repair hydraulic brake systems, disc brakes, drum brakes, parking brakes, and power assist units
Service and repair ABS and electronic stability control (ESC) systems
Perform brake inspections and recommend appropriate repairs
Electrical & Electronic Systems
Diagnose and repair electrical system concerns
Troubleshoot wiring, switches, relays, fuses, and lighting systems
Utilize diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify and resolve vehicle faults
Interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics

Heating & Air Conditioning

Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and climate control systems
Service A/C compressors, blower motors, and control systems
Safely handle refrigerants and perform system performance testing in compliance with environmental regulations

Preferred Technical Competencies

This role aligns closely with ASE certifications:

A1 – Engine Repair

A4 – Suspension & Steering
A5 – Brakes
A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems
A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning

ASE certifications are not required. We proudly support and assist our technicians in obtaining certifications during employment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Vocational or technical training in automotive service technology preferred
ASE Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification with company support
5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience
Proficiency using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work efficiently in a physically active environment
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
