Skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator – Pontiac, MI

Location: Pontiac, MI

Employment Type: Full-Time (with potential for overtime)
Compensation: $25–$35/hour (based on experience)

We are currently seeking a Skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our team in the Pontiac area. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work independently or as part of a team.

Scope of Work:

Type of welding: Seam welding and plate welding with full penetration welds
Material: Hot rolled steel

Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials (primarily steel)
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings
Fabricate, assemble, and repair components to specification
Operate shop equipment (grinders, saws, press brakes, etc.)
Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards

Qualifications:

3+ years of MIG welding/fabrication experience preferred
Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
Ability to pass a weld test
Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
Experience in a shop or industrial setting is a plus
Local candidates preferred (no per diem offered)
Must be able to complete and pass a background check and drug screen
