Service Van Driver / Carpenter-Painter
Description
This is a skilled trade position. The ideal candidate(s) should have hands-on experience with PAINTING, CARPENTRY, and general construction work and be comfortable traveling between residential and commercial job sites throughout NYC.
Responsibilities:
- Perform professional PAINTING, CARPENTRY, and general construction work at residential and commercial job sites.
- Safely operate a company service van to and from job sites.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
- Keep the service van, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Check in with management daily.
- Provide and submit a daily report and photos for each job site visited.
- Report work completed, materials used, additional materials needed, and any incomplete work.
- Communicate professionally with clients, building staff, coworkers, and management.
- Follow company safety procedures and job-site requirements.
- Previous professional experience in carpentry, painting, construction, maintenance, or a related skilled trade.
- Valid driver's license and responsible driving record.
- Knowledge of NYC streets and commercial routes; able to navigate efficiently between multiple job sites.
- Ability to safely operate a company service van throughout NYC.
- Strong knowledge of common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload tools and materials.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to work independently and follow instructions.
- Must be able to speak and understand English sufficiently for daily communication, instructions, and job reporting.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for daily check-ins, reports, communication, and uploading job-site photos.
- Comfortable traveling between multiple NYC job sites.
