Skilled Woodworker (Sunset Park / Brooklyn)

At Brownstone Door Co., we handcraft high-end custom wood entry doors for historic properties across New York City, and we’re looking for a woodworker to join our team.

If you have 3-4 years of hands-on experience with woodworking tools and machinery in a professional setting and are serious about further developing your woodworking and problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply!

Requirements:

-Previous fine woodworking experience in an architectural millwork shop.

-Ability to follow our established production processes from start to finish.

-Understands how to work efficiently under deadlines and meet high-quality expectations.

-Proactive communicator. This position will be a good fit for an individual who notices problems, asks questions, and takes ownership of finding solutions.

-Mechanical and engineering mindset - every door receives hardware, and you must be able to install various types of door hardware, align, and adjust it with precision

-Physically able to lift, carry, and turn large, heavy doors (most doors are 8-9 feet tall)

-Contribute to a productive, clean, and disciplined shop environment.

What we offer:

4-day workweek, Mon–Thu, 8am-6pm (After a Part-Time paid trial period)

Pay: $30 - $35/hr. Pay rate is based on your production capabilities relevant to our work and the training investment required for you to be able to produce on your own.
