Small Engine Mechanic – Full-Time
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. If you’re good with lawn equipment, small engines, and like hands-on work in a shop environment, this could be a great fit.
About the Job
You’ll be working on a variety of small engine equipment, such as:
Lawn mowers
Trimmers / edgers
Blowers
Chainsaws
Generators
Main duties:
Diagnose and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment
Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, spark plugs, belts, blades, tune-ups)
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
Test equipment after repairs to make sure it runs safely and properly
Keep basic records of repairs and parts used
Help keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
What We’re Looking For
1–3+ years experience with small engine repair or similar mechanical work
Strong knowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines
Able to read and follow service manuals and work orders
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Dependable, on-time, and able to work with minimal supervision
Nice to have (not required):
Training or certification in small engine repair or automotive technology
Experience with brands like Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Kawasaki, Stihl, etc.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to ~50 lbs when needed
Comfortable standing, bending, and working with tools for extended periods
Pay & Schedule
Full-time position
Steady hours (details discussed during interview)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
