Small Engine / Power Tool Tech

Toolmaster Hawaii is looking for an experienced Small Engine / Power Tool Technician to join our growing service department. We repair and maintain equipment used every day by contractors, landscapers, arborists, municipalities, and homeowners across Kauai.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair:

Gas and battery-powered outdoor power equipment
Chainsaws
String trimmers
Backpack blowers
Hedge trimmers
Cut-off saws
Pressure washers
Generators
Plate compactors
Water pumps
Concrete and masonry equipment
Power tools (corded and cordless)
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service
Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, ignition, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer procedures
Assemble new equipment
Maintain accurate repair orders and notes
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation
Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
Assist customers by explaining repairs when needed

DR Power Equipment

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience repairing small engines and power equipment preferred
Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts breakdowns
Basic electrical diagnostic knowledge
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Positive attitude and dependable attendance
Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship

Compensation & Benefits
