Smog Technician Needed - No Score OK

Job Description:

We are a STAR Smog Station in Sacramento, CA looking for a Smog Technician to join our team. Competitive pay and full-time work with overtime available. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing smog checks on all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, hybrids, and SUVs.

Smog tech with a FPR score of 0.40 or higher preferred but will work with a no score looking for an opportunity. Please provide your smog technician license number when reaching out.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform smog inspections and tests on vehicles
• Identify any issues that may cause a vehicle to fail a smog check
• Keep accurate records of all smog inspections
• Be able to perform general shop duties such as keeping the smog shop and working area clean and in good working order
• Stay current with the latest smog inspection techniques and regulations
• Be able to communicate with customers about their vehicle's smog check status and any repairs that may be needed
• Other general customer service such as answering inquires in the shop or phone calls

Requirements:

• Smog technician license with BAR
• In good standing with the BAR with NO Citations
• Strong knowledge of emissions systems and regulations
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A valid California Smog Technician license
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• General computer skills
• 2nd language, Spanish a plus
• Ability to work independently

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, people person
• Professional appearance with great work ethic
