IMMEDIATE HIRE – START AS EARLY AS TOMORROW

NVT Staffing is hiring Onsite Services Technicians for an active data center project in Sterling, VA.

We need dependable candidates who can start immediately, ideally tomorrow or sometime this week.

Previous data center experience is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with solid hands-on experience in IT hardware, computer repair, low-voltage cabling, networking, hardware deployment, field service, electronics, desktop support, or similar technical work.

Assignment Details

Pay: $20.00/hour

Location: Sterling, VA
Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Initial Contract Length: Approximately 6 weeks
Start: ASAP — as early as tomorrow

This project is expected to have strong extension potential. The team has additional data center work planned after the current site is completed, so technicians who perform well may be moved to another data center location and continue working on future projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

Removing servers, switches, PDUs, and other IT equipment from data center racks
Removing hard drives and other data-bearing devices
Scanning serial numbers, asset tags, and equipment information
Organizing and tracking IT assets
Preparing equipment for secure shipment
Palletizing and moving technology equipment
Using basic hand tools around server racks and IT infrastructure

What We Need

Hands-on IT, hardware, data center, cabling, low-voltage, deployment, repair, networking, or related technical experience
Comfortable physically handling computer and network equipment
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to work on your feet throughout the day
Comfortable using basic hand tools
Steel-toed shoes
Able to pass a background check and drug screening
Must be available to start immediately or within the next few days

Candidates with experience as a Data Center Technician, IT Technician, Hardware Technician, Computer Technician, Cable Technician, Low-Voltage Technician, Deployment Technician, Desktop Support Technician, Field Service Technician, Server Technician, Network Technician, or Electronics Technician are encouraged to apply.
