Must be self-motivated, possess strong leadership, communication, organizational and computer skills with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience. Actively participate in the preconstruction phase when necessary, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures. Manages and mentors foreman and other field personnel.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Familiarize himself with all of the project plans, specification, Addenda, Bulletins, etc., that constitute the contract documents. Furthermore, confirm that all subcontractors working on site have the most current and complete documents with which to work from.

Participate in the preconstruction planning sessions by trade to familiarize himself with the unique characteristics of the schedule and trade interface.

Participate on the organization, scheduling, and monitoring of subcontractor’s staffing levels for timely project completion.

Become completely knowledgeable with the scope of all subcontract agreements.

Assist in determining and recommending improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures where practical on the project.

Ensure that all testing of materials as specified is properly conducted and testing results are properly recorded. Coordinate with quality control personnel onsite.

Ensure material is delivered to the construction site per established agreements.

Properly document any applicable back charges to contractors as needed.

Conduct meetings as required with all contractor representatives of the project on a daily and/or weekly basis to schedule and coordinate the activities to be accomplished.

Maintain a safe jobsite per the requirements of the firm’s Safety and Health Plan, and all local and safety regulations.

Conduct weekly safety meetings on the project; coordinate all procedures and needed training.

Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure the project is properly manned to meet project schedules and budgets.

Possess good organizational and time management skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations.

Working Conditions

Physical requirements will include the ability to safely lift 40 pounds.

The majority of the work is completed on a jobsite.
