Team Lead Low Voltage Installer

NOW HIRING: TEAM LEAD – LOW VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN

T&M DataCom Services L.L.C. is looking for an experienced Team Lead Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for an experienced low-voltage technician who can work independently, lead other technicians, communicate professionally with customers, and take responsibility for completing projects correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist technicians on low-voltage projects

Read prints, plans, and project scopes

Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, coax, and fiber-optic cabling

Install and troubleshoot security camera systems

Install door access and access-control systems

Install network racks, patch panels, switches, wireless access points, and related equipment

Assist with commercial audio/video installations

Perform service calls and troubleshoot existing systems

Coordinate work with customers, contractors, and other trades

Maintain clean and professional job sites

Keep projects organized and ensure work is completed to T&M standards

Train and oversee installers and less-experienced technicians

Document completed work, materials used, and project progress

Qualifications

Previous low-voltage experience is required.

Ideal candidates should have experience with several of the following:

Structured cabling

Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A installation and termination

Fiber-optic cabling

CCTV/IP camera systems

Door access and access control

Networking and Wi-Fi

Commercial audio/video

Cable testing and troubleshooting

MDF/IDF build-outs

Reading blueprints and construction drawings

Leading technicians or small installation crews

Candidates should also have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, good communication skills, and the ability to work professionally at customer locations.

Compensation

Pay rate is determined by experience, skill level, and ability to lead projects.

Candidates with strong experience in multiple low-voltage systems and previous team-lead or project-lead experience will be considered accordingly.
