About the Role

We're looking for an experienced sewing specialist to operate our Techsew 810 walking foot machine. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy-duty/industrial sewing, strong attention to detail, and takes pride in clean, consistent stitch work.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain a Techsew 810 walking foot sewing machine
Sew heavy or thick materials (leather, canvas, vinyl, upholstery, etc. — adjust to your product)
Adjust stitch length, thread tension, and needle/thread selection based on material
Read and follow patterns, specs, or work orders accurately
Inspect finished pieces for quality, consistency, and durability
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Manage thread, needle, and material inventory
Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Keep the work area clean and equipment in good running condition

Qualifications

Prior hands-on experience operating a Techsew 810 or similar walking foot/industrial sewing machine (required)
Experience sewing heavy or specialty materials a plus
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical, tension, or threading issues
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
