Construction Manager
Description
Long standing Telecom Construction Company is hiring a Construction Manager.
Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Requires at least 7 years of experience in the field. Reports to top management.
- Coordinates long-lead materials ordering and subcontractor bids with General and Tower Superintendents
- Attend Bid walks and complete Bids
- Enforce and adhere to Company and State Safety standards and make corrective action when needed
- Ensures jobs are invoiced and closeout documents are complete, submitted and approved
- Assist with interviewing and hiring of employees
- Coordinate and/or attend Customer and City Pre-Construction requirements
- Work in field to provide expertise and assistance to field crews as needed to complete Projects
- Communicates directly with clients or their representatives concerning project issues.
- Prepares project status reports, schedules, and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
- Oversee & Assist in and carry out installation, repair, modification, optimization, or acceptance test procedures of wireless infrastructures and electrical equipment
- Oversee & Assist in the isolation of hardware, software, and air interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on various products and technologies
- Maintain clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA)
- Oversee & Assist in completing assigned tasks within project scope accurately and efficiently
- Strict attention to detail and organization; enabling timely task completion focusing on the quality of workmanship
- Attend vendor and in-house training and participate in certification programs as necessary
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned
- Gain knowledge of cell site service monitors, RF test equipment, and T1 test equipment
- Strict attention to detail and organization
- Pass the following tests prior to employment: drug test, background check, and physical examination evaluation process during training
- Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid AED, OSHA 10, RF Radiation Safety & Awareness, & Competent Climber certifications Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Be available for evening, weekends, and rotational assignments; accepting on-call responsibilities
- High School or GED Equivalent Required
- Energetic and mentally prepared
- Ability to meet physical demands of duties
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, squat, kneel, sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outside and withstand varied inclement weather conditions [Approx. -20° to 120°F]
- Microsoft Office product knowledge (i.e. Outlook, Word, Access)
- Ability to effectively utilize the internet
- Ability to distinguish and identify colors/color schemes
