🔧 What You’ll Be Doing (Duties & Responsibilities)
Machinery Master: Diagnose, service, tune, and repair a wide range of gas, diesel, and electric equipment—including commercial mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, backhoes, sod cutters, chainsaws, and light trucks.
Preventative Care; Tuning: Handle regular oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, engine tune-ups, and sharpens to ensure every mower blade cut is clean and every system is safe.
System Troubleshooting: Work through hydraulic systems, small engine repair, and electrical components with a sharp eye for safety and performance.
Inventory Management: Keep detailed service logs, track parts and tools, and maintain an organized, smooth-running shop workspace.
Grounds: Lend a hand on the grounds when needed—helping with maintenance, winterizing systems, operating powered equipment, or clearing walkways/parking areas, burials, memorial installations, and general grounds needs.
Safety Standards: Maintain a safe workspace, adhere to all equipment safety precautions, and ensure all gear meets performance and reliability standards.
🧰 Qualification & Requirements
Mechanical Expertise: Proven mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining small engines, lawn care machinery, or diesel equipment. (Experience with light welding or fabrication is a strong plus!)
Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License required.
Self-Starter Mindset: Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating well with supervisor and team members.
Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs and comfortably work outdoors in various Ohio weather conditions when testing or assisting in the field.
