Tig Welder

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a specialized shop focused on refurbishing steam and gas turbines, marine propulsion systems, and power generation equipment located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, meaning strong performers will have the chance to transition into a permanent position with our client.

This role is ideal for welders with precision TIG experience who enjoy working on high-value industrial equipment in a shop environment.

SCHEDULE:

• Standard Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Current Project Schedule: Due to workload, the team is currently working 7 days a week with 12-hour shifts. Candidates should be open to working overtime while the current project demand is in place

PAY: $30-$35/hr (based on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform precision TIG welding on turbine and industrial power generation components
• Weld and repair parts made from 300 and 400 series stainless steel and Inconel
• Assist in refurbishing steam and gas turbines and related power generation equipment
• Work with components used in marine vessel propulsion systems
• Maintain quality standards for high-tolerance industrial repairs
• Work alongside machinists and technicians on complex repair projects

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years experience with TIG welding
• Experience welding 300 & 400 series stainless steel
• Experience welding Inconel
• Ability to work in a shop environment performing precision repairs
• Ability to read weld procedures or blueprints preferred
• Ability to pass a TIG weld test on stainless steel

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:

• Tier 1 background check required
• Pre-employment drug test required
• TIG weld test on stainless steel required prior to placement

PREFERRED (Not Required):

• AWS Welding Certification
• Experience working on turbines, power generation equipment, or marine systems
