Tile Installer, Carpenter, Drywall Installer/Finisher, Plumber

I’m a new contractor looking to build a team of experienced, efficient tradespeople for a residential renovation and future projects in Seal Beach. Individual tradespeople and small crews are welcome.

Tile Installation — 162-Square-Foot Front Patio

Install tile on a level, ground-floor patio measuring approximately 9′ × 18′. The design includes:

• A soldier course of 6″ × 12″ quarry tile around the entire perimeter.
• An approximately 7′ × 16′ interior field of 6″ × 12″ quarry tile, with 3″ × 3″ Spanish tile accents at the corners of the pattern, as shown in the attached photos.
• Minimal cuts, primarily at the ends, to simplify installation.

The accent tiles are slightly thinner than the quarry tiles, so the installation will need to accommodate that difference for a level finished surface.

Please provide an approximate labor-only bid range. I will supply all materials and invite two or three candidates to the job site to verify measurements, inspect conditions, and provide a final bid.

The preferred start date is October 15 or later. I’m willing to wait for the right installer.

Carpentry — Staircase Reconstruction

I have an immediate need for a carpenter to help me rebuild the staircase shown in the attached photos. The goal is to create an L-shaped staircase, reduce its bulk, and raise the railing height to 48″ on the outside and 42″ on the inside.

Work could begin Monday, October 5. I enjoy carpentry, have tools available, and plan to assist with the work to help move the project along.

Please provide your expected hourly or daily labor rate.

Upcoming Garage-to-ADU Conversion

I’m also planning to convert an attached garage into an ADU, with a tentative start in early November, subject to approval of the required building and Coastal Commission permits.

This project will require extensive carpentry, drywall finishing, and plumbing services.

What I’m Looking For

Quality workmanship, efficiency, clear communication, and punctuality with a flexible attitude. Please bring the tools needed for your trade. A Makita miter saw, a Harbor Freight tile saw capable of 24″ cuts, and an air compressor are available on site.
