JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Tile Installer to perform professional tile installation on residential and commercial projects.

This position will begin as part-time, with the possibility of additional hours based on workload, performance, and project needs.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience installing various types of tile, preparing surfaces, measuring and cutting materials, and completing quality installations. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works efficiently, and can complete assigned projects with minimal supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tile Installation & Finishing

Install ceramic, porcelain, marble, stone, and other types of tile on floors, walls, showers, backsplashes, and other surfaces.

Measure, mark, and cut tile accurately to fit designated areas.

Install tile according to project specifications, layouts, and quality standards.

Apply thinset mortar, adhesives, grout, and sealants using proper installation techniques.

Ensure tiles are properly aligned, spaced, leveled, and securely installed.

Install tile trim, edging, transitions, and finishing materials.

Perform grouting, caulking, sealing, and final cleanup.

Inspect completed work to ensure professional-quality results.

Surface Preparation

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and removing old flooring or tile when necessary.

Inspect substrates for damage, unevenness, or moisture-related concerns.

Install cement backer board, appropriate underlayment, and waterproofing systems.

Repair and prepare surfaces before installing new tile.

Follow proper installation procedures to prevent cracking, water damage, and tile failure.

Jobsite Responsibilities

Read measurements, layouts, and installation instructions.

Calculate material quantities and minimize waste.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Properly operate and maintain tile installation tools and equipment.

Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on schedule.

Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Previous professional tile installation experience required.

Ability to independently complete tile installation projects from preparation through finishing.

Experience installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile.

Knowledge of proper surface preparation, waterproofing, mortar application, and grouting techniques.

Ability to accurately measure, cut, level, and lay out tile.

Experience installing floor tile, wall tile, and shower tile.

Ability to operate wet saws, tile cutters, grinders, and other trade-specific tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Dependable, punctual, and professional.

Ability to lift and carry tile, materials, and equipment and perform physically demanding work.

Reliable transportation to assigned jobsites.

Must have basic tools required for tile installation.
