Type: Full-time preferred (open to part-time)
Pay: $15–$25/hour tiered pay (based on experience and hours)
Overview:
We’re hiring an entry-level Trailer / Shop Mechanic to join our shop team. This is a hands-on position for a motivated, self-learning person who wants to develop skills in welding, low-voltage trailer wiring, forklift operation, trailer assembly, and routine trailer maintenance. Full-time candidates preferred; part-time considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble trailer components and complete final builds per spec
Learn and perform basic welding and metal fabrication tasks
Install and troubleshoot low-voltage trailer wiring (tail lights, brakes, connectors)
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on trailers (brakes, axles, suspension, lights)
Operate forklifts and other shop equipment (training provided)
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow shop safety procedures
Read simple work orders, measurements, and basic schematics
Assist other technicians as needed
Qualifications:
No formal experience required — ideal for a self-starter who learns quickly and wants to grow
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools
Willingness to learn welding, electrical work, and forklift operation
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in varying conditions
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Valid driver’s license preferred
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow instructions
Training & Growth:
On-the-job training in welding, low-voltage wiring, trailer assembly, and forklift operation
