Position Summary

Hercules Tree Service is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Tree Climber / Climber Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong climbing skills, understands proper tree care and pruning techniques, and can safely lead a crew in completing residential and commercial tree service projects.
This position is ideal for a skilled climber who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with a team, and can lead by example in the field. The Climber Foreman will be responsible for directing daily job-site activities, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Tree Climbing & Tree Care
Safely climb trees using approved climbing systems, ropes, harnesses, and appropriate equipment.
Perform tree pruning, trimming, crown reduction, deadwood removal, and hazardous limb removal.
Assist with technical removals, dismantling, rigging, and lowering large limbs and tree sections.
Identify hazardous tree conditions and communicate concerns to management.
Protect surrounding properties, landscaping, structures, and utilities while performing tree work.
Operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment safely and efficiently.

Crew Leadership & Job-Site Management — Foreman Duties

Lead and supervise ground crew members during daily tree service operations.
Conduct job-site safety briefings and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
Review job scope and work plans with the crew before beginning each project.
Coordinate climbing, rigging, and cutting.
Previous professional tree climbing experience required.
