Tree Groundsman

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Haul brush and wood from tree to trailer, be able to set a Port-A-Wrap, assist climber as required, perform strategic
roping and rigging techniques, use various hand and power tools, and perform clean up of job site.

• Function as a member of the tree crew while progressively learning new skills.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, Skid Steers, lifts, and other equipment as required.
• Maintain issued personal gear, crew gear, and equipment.
• Perform saw maintenance and prep (clean as required, and fill with gas and oil) before the start of each job.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a truck.
• Must have own transportation to and from work and various locations.
• Punctuality is important. Frequent absenteeism and slothfulness will not be tolerated, period.

Requirements:

• Competencey in chainsaw operations and maintenance.
• Competencey in roping and rigging techniques, be able to set a Porta Wrap, and assist climber with the rope.
• Able to perform highly repetitive and physical functions.
• Must follow safety guidelines and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, steel toe boots, and chaps.
• Must provide three (3) business references (supervisor preferably) knowledgeable of your work experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High School diploma preferred.
• 5 years of Groundsman work experience.
