Tree Groundsman

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Haul brush and wood from tree to trailer and assist climber as required, and perform clean up of job site.
• Function as a member of the tree crew while progressively learning new skills.
• Operate chainsaws at minimum and be willing to learn how to operate other equipment (i.e., chippers, pole saws) as required.
• Maintain issued personal gear, crew gear, and equipment.
• Perform saw maintenance and prep (clean as required, and fill with gas and oil) before the start of each job.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a truck.
• Must have own transportation to and from work and various locations.
• Punctuality is important. Frequent absenteeism and slothfulness will not be tolerated, period.

Requirements:

• Knowledgeable of chainsaw operations and other equipment or be willling to learn.
• Must follow safety guidelines and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, steel toe boots, and chaps.
• Must provide three (3) references (supervisor preferably) knowledgeable of your work experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High School diploma preferred.
• 3-5 years of Groundsman work experience.
