Tree Removal / Landscaping Crew Lead – $30–$40/hr – Short-Term Project

Running Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced tree removal, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or similar outdoor-service professional for a short-term project in the West Hawaii / South Kohala area beginning in October 2026.

This is a good opportunity for an experienced landscaper, gardener, tree worker, or crew lead looking for a well-defined temporary project.

Project Scope

Removal of approximately 16–20 medium fallen Kiawe trees

Cut and section trees for safe removal
Load and haul tree/debris material
Properly dispose of removed material
Maintain a safe and organized work area
Complete final cleanup of the site
Some trees are located near shoreline conditions; photos are provided to demonstrate the general scope and terrain

Schedule & Pay

$30–$40/hour, depending on experience and capabilities
Temporary W-2 employment through Running Logistics
Work anticipated to begin in October 2026
Estimated 3–5 working days, depending on site conditions, crew size, hauling, and disposal requirements
Higher end of the pay range may be considered for candidates with strong tree-removal experience, appropriate tools/equipment, and the ability to lead a small crew

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:

Landscaping, tree removal, grounds maintenance, or related experience
Experience safely operating chainsaws and appropriate cutting equipment
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
Reliable transportation
Appropriate PPE and preferably relevant tools/equipment
Ability to reliably complete the project once scheduled
Experience coordinating or leading a small crew is a plus
