Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Technician (Fleet Only)
📍 North Newark, NJ
We are a growing trucking company with a 25-truck dump fleet, looking for a reliable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our in-house maintenance team. This is fleet work only — no customer service, no outside repairs.
💰 Pay & Benefits
$30–$45/hr depending on experience

🕘 Schedule
Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (overtime)
Hours may vary based on fleet needs
🔧 Job Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on dump trucks
Diagnose and repair engines, brakes, suspensions, steering, and drivetrains
Perform basic to advanced diagnostics
Conduct inspections and ensure DOT compliance
Keep accurate maintenance records
Work efficiently to keep fleet uptime high
🛠️ Requirements
3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
Experience working on Class 7–8 trucks (dump truck experience a plus)
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Own basic tools
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
CDL or ASE certifications a plus (not required)
