Certified Installation Consultant – Full & Part-Time Roles as Well As 1099 Contractor Roles Available

Music City Skylights, a Solatube Premier Dealer and retail seller and installer of Solatube Daylighting Systems & Ventilation Products, is in search of Certified Installation Consultants (CIC) to work in the Greater Nashville / Middle Tennessee area.

The CIC serves as the face of the company in the field and ensures each customer receives the best possible experience. Our inside team coordinates and schedules appointments, allowing the CICs to focus on installations and providing recommendations for upsells when appropriate. While we love well-rounded installation consultants who can do sales and installations, installations are at the core of the role and a hard requirement. Our products bring the Wow! factor, so we don't have to resort to hard-sell tactics!

We can generally work around your schedule. Looking for full-time work? Need a part-time 20-hour-a-week gig? Are you an experienced 1-2 person contractor team looking to pick up some additional work? We got you.

• Here are the Must-Haves:
• Experience working with ladders, on roofs, and at heights.
• Moderate construction skills using hand tools such as a sawzall, skill saw, drill, measurement devices, etc.
• Ability for moderate attic work, locating and connecting skylight and ventilation tubes as needed
• Ability to work in temperature extremes
• Ability to engage customers in a pleasant manner and build rapport
• Ability to use laptop, tablets, and/or phone devices for appointments, note-taking, communication, etc.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Consultative sales experience is highly desired, but we also look for non-sales installers who are pleasant
• Ability to work occasional Saturdays would be great, but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be able to prove insurability

• While this is not a roofing job, it does require being on the roof to locate, cut, and seal penetration holes for the skylight and ventilation products. We find prior roofing or roof repair experience highly beneficial.
• We perform driving and background checks. We do – just know this upfront.
• Just want part-time? That’s ok! Some of our best employee partners over the years could only work select hours or days.
• The pay will vary based on experience but generally lands in the $22-$28/hr range, plus a small commission on the products that you install.
• We offer some benefits, vacation/PTO allowance, cell phone allowance, company vehicle or allowance, etc.

• For contractors, you will need to have your own general liability and workers’ comp insurance, a Tennessee home improvement or general contractor's license, tools, safety gear, transportation, etc. Pay is on a piece rate basis via an independent agreement with a workmanship guarantee.
