Your Role on the Team

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance on Housing facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliances, locks, and general building systems.
Respond to work orders by diagnosing issues, completing repairs, documenting work performed, and communicating job status to residents while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and equipment upkeep to ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained residential facilities.
Support departmental operations by maintaining tools and inventory, assisting with emergency response, overseeing small projects or temporary staff as assigned, and providing excellent customer service.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

Experience performing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliance, and general building maintenance in residential, commercial, or institutional facilities.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete maintenance repairs using hand and power tools while maintaining accurate work orders and documentation.
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple work orders and use basic computer applications, email, and maintenance management systems.
Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Preferred:

Experience maintaining student housing, apartment communities, hotels, hospitals, or other multi-unit residential facilities.
Experience with appliance repair, electronic lock systems, preventative maintenance programs, or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Pay Rate: $25.69/hour
