Seeking a dependable, hardworking Underground Gas Crew Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing underground propane and natural gas systems, operating heavy equipment, trenching gas lines, and burying propane tanks.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position for someone who is not afraid of hard work and takes pride in doing quality work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Operate excavators, trenchers, and other heavy equipment along with hand digging lines and tanks.
Excavate and install underground propane and natural gas lines
Set and bury propane tanks
Perform hand digging when required around utilities and structures
Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials
Read basic site plans and follow installation layouts
Assist with pressure testing and system inspections
Maintain equipment and perform daily safety inspections
Follow all company and safety regulations
Work outdoors in Florida weather conditions
Represent the company professionally with customers and contractors
Requirements:
Experience operating excavators and construction equipment
Experience with trenching and underground utility work preferred
Ability to perform heavy physical labor daily
Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly
Clean driving record
Reliable transportation
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Dependable and punctual
Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with propane or natural gas installations
Construction or utility installation experience
OSHA certification a plus
