Upholsterer (Auto, Marine, Furniture, Commercial) $20-30/hr, Alsip

Don's Auto Interiors & Tops in Alsip is hiring an experienced upholsterer. We've done upholstery on Cicero Avenue since 1977.

Pay: $20 to $30 per hour based on skill. Your starting rate is set after a paid trial day, and raises are tied to quality and speed. W-2 or 1099, depending on the person.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No nights, no weekends.

The work: car seats, headliners, carpets, door panels and convertible tops. Boat and pontoon seats, bimini tops and boat covers. Furniture and cushions. Restaurant booths, bar stools, gym benches, dental chairs and exam tables.

What we want:

• 2+ years of hands-on upholstery (auto, marine, furniture or commercial)
• Comfortable on an industrial walking-foot machine, with patterning and cutting
• Clean, tight work, and you show up on time
• Convertible top experience is a big plus. If you haven't done them, we'll train you.

Our front desk handles customers and quotes, so you can focus on the work. We write around 15 to 19 jobs a week.

To apply, email info@donsautointeriors.com with a few lines about your experience and photos of your work, or call (708) 371-8020, Mon to Fri, 8:30 to 5.
