Overview:

A well-established heavy civil construction firm is looking for an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale bridge, highway, and transit projects - the kind that shape an area for decades.

You'll direct a team of superintendents across earthworks and structures, keeping subcontractors, craft workers, and schedules aligned, while serving as the go-to for technical direction, real-time problem-solving, and site logistics.

What you'll do:

Supervise and direct superintendents across earthworks and structures construction, coordinating subcontractors and workers to keep schedule and quality on track
Lead site logistics planning, project scheduling, and onsite coordination alongside project management
Enforce contract requirements, safety plans, and efficient use of materials and equipment across field operations
Provide technical guidance with interpreting drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, and supporting project procedures and documentation

What you bring:

15+ years in construction including 10+ years as a Superintendent on heavy civil projects
Previous superintendent experience on bridge, highway, or transit projects valued at $200M+
Familiarity with contract management and local trade/union environments; experience with City, State, or Federal clients is a plus
Proficiency of MS Word/Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, or similar tools
OSHA and First Aid certifications required
