Pay: $40–$43 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time Contract
Work Environment: On-site
Available Schedule:
3rd Shift: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–8:00 AM

We are seeking an experienced, engineering-focused Vehicle Technician to support the maintenance and readiness of an autonomous vehicle fleet in Las Vegas.

This position is ideal for an automotive technician with strong diagnostic, repair, documentation, and troubleshooting experience. You will help ensure vehicles are maintained, properly configured, and safe for testing, demonstrations, and on-road operations.

Responsibilities:

Perform vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and fleet rework.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
Configure and prepare vehicles for safe on-road operation.
Coordinate repairs from initial diagnosis through completion and sign-off.
Develop or follow diagnostic test plans.
Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams.
Maintain accurate service records and field reports.
Assist with parts inventory, tracking, and organization.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
Travel locally when necessary to support fleet operations.
Required Qualifications:

At least 2–4 years of professional vehicle technician experience.
Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair methods, tools, parts, and materials.
Strong hands-on diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Willingness and ability to complete required forklift and/or gantry operator certification.
Strong communication, documentation, organization, and multitasking skills.
Dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:

Automotive technical certificate or associate degree.

Experience in an automotive engineering, research, battery, or dynamometer laboratory.
Knowledge of CAN systems, wiring diagrams, electrical diagnostics, and soldering.
Experience towing car haulers or large trailers.
Current forklift operator certification.
Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally.
