Business has been growing and San Francisco’s #1 vintage bike resource is looking for an experienced and skilled scooter and motorcycle technician and restorer.
Bello Moto is a San Francisco shop specializing in vintage Vespa and Lambretta scooters from the 1950s through early 2000s. We handle everything from routine maintenance and tuning to complete engine rebuilds and high-level restorations.
We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on technician who loves these classic scooters and knows the details that make them special.
Ideal candidate will be a real “mechanic” able to diagnose and repair any type of 2 wheeled vehicle.
Self starter, good at time management and willing to deal with challenging projects.
At least 2 years experience, familiar with vintage machines helpful if up to date on newer bikes.
Knowledge of all aspects - mechanical, chassis, tires, electrical & cosmetic.
Desirable to have some hands-on experience in restoration
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vintage scooters
- Perform full rebuilds and restorations
- Assemble and tune engines, electrical systems, and bodywork
- Work independently in a clean, organized environment
- Help preserve the art and legacy of Italian scooter design
- Experienced with Vespa or Lambretta maintenance and repair
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and proud of your work
- Comfortable with carburetors, 2-stroke tuning, and wiring
- Welding or fabrication experience a plus
- Self-starter, Motivated
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Positive Can-Do attitude
- Good team member
- Computer skills, familiarity with Service Department software
- Drivers license with M1 endorsement
- Very Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
