Vinyl Record Warehouse Support - Packaging & Audio Quality Control

We are seeking a detail-oriented Vinyl Audio Quality Control Technician & Vinyl Record Packer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a passion for vinyl records and a trained ear for high-fidelity audio. Applicants should have a solid understanding of audio fundamentals, including balanced frequency response, stereo imaging, dynamic range, and signal-to-noise ratio, with the ability to identify pressing defects such as distortion, surface noise, clicks, pops, skips, and other audio anomalies. Experience with critical listening, audio production, hi-fi systems, and / or vinyl playback is REQUIRED. This position also includes general warehouse support and requires exceptional attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect records and materials for quality and accuracy
Sleeve, assemble, and package vinyl records (jackets, inserts, shrink wrap, boxing)
Prepare and label shipments correctly
Maintain clean, organized work area
Follow instructions, safety procedures and warehouse standards
Support production flow and meet daily output targets

Must-Have Skills

Knowledge of hi-fidelity audio including balanced frequency response, stereo imaging, dynamic range, and signal-to-noise ratio, with the ability to identify pressing defects such as distortion, surface noise, clicks, pops, skips, and other audio anomalies.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to consistently pack the correct items
Clean and organized work habits
Ability to read and follow work orders

Requirements

Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks alone
Able to lift 50 lbs
Ability to tolerate hot, loud, often chaotic environments
Ability to appreciate and respect diversity in art & artists
Reliable, efficient, and team-oriented
Experience with critical listening, audio production, hi-fi systems, or vinyl playback is REQUIRED.

Job Details

Pay: $17/hr (Independent Contractor)
Schedule: Dependent on Production Volume
Shop Hours: 9am - 5pm, Extended Based on Need
