WANTED! Maintenance Technician – Full-Time

About the Position:

The ideal candidate is an experienced handyman/maintenance technician who can work independently and take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-kept apartment buildings.
We have several apartment buildings throughout the Anchorage area. Your responsibilities will include general repairs, preventative maintenance, and day-to-day upkeep of our properties while providing professional and courteous service to our tenants.

Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate should be comfortable performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including:

• Sheetrock repair, texturing, and painting
• Basic carpentry
• Basic plumbing and electrical work
• Changing thermocouples
• Sweating/soldering copper pipes
• Bleeding air from boiler loops
• Safely replacing light fixtures and electrical outlets
• Repairing leaks under sinks
• Measuring accurately and making clean, straight cuts with a Skilsaw
• Troubleshooting and completing general building repairs

You must also be able to accurately track your hours, materials, repairs, and invoices.

• Able to work approximately 40 hours per week
• Must have reliable transportation; truck preferred
• Must have your own basic hand tools
• Reasonably available for occasional after-hours emergency calls
• Must pass a background check and have no criminal history

The regular schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Occasional emergency call-outs may be required after hours, typically 4–5 times per year.
