Welder

Position Summary

Responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on various metal components, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, aluminum, and other metals.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with fabricators, machinists, and engineers to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in welding preferred.
• 2+ years of welding experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
• Strong understanding of safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
