O2 Treehouse is a custom treehouse design-and-build company based in Petaluma, CA, with over 20 years in business and 85+ completed projects. We run our own in-house wood shop and metal fabrication shop, and hold an active CSLB contractor license. Our work blends craftsmanship, engineering, and a healthy respect for the trees we build around.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled welder to join us for an upcoming project, primarily MIG welding and grinding mild steel components. This is steel fabrication work that supports our treehouse structures — precision, clean welds, and attention to fit and finish matter.
There's potential for this role to extend into additional metal fabrication work once the initial project wraps, for the right person.

What You'll Do

• MIG weld mild steel components to project specifications
• Grind and finish welds for a clean, professional appearance
• Read and work from fabrication drawings/blueprints
• Fit and tack components prior to final welding
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and equipment
• Collaborate with our wood shop and build teams as needed

What We're Looking For

• Proven MIG welding experience with mild steel (structural/fabrication work preferred)
• Comfortable with grinding and weld finishing
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and work to tolerance
• Own basic welding hand tools (welding machine and shop equipment provided)
• Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented
• Prior experience in structural steel, architectural metalwork, or custom fabrication a plus
