Pay: $15–$25/hour, based on skill and experience

About the Job

Modern Compactor Repair is hiring an experienced welder to join our team. We repair and maintain compactors and containers for the waste industry, so you'll be working on heavy-duty equipment that keeps our customers' operations running.

What You'll Do

Weld and repair compactors and containers used in the waste industry
Diagnose structural wear and damage, and perform repairs to restore equipment to working condition
Work with steel and heavy equipment components in a shop and/or field setting
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

What We're Looking For

2+ years of hands-on welding experience
No certification required — we care about skill and quality of work
Experience with MIG, TIG, or stick welding preferred
Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working on heavy equipment
