Description

Stair and Rail Fabricator / Installer – Custom Metal Fabrication

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fabricator / Installer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for fabricating, templating, and installing stair and railing systems
The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently both in the shop and in the field, and can confidently see a project through from raw material to final installation. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a strong work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities

Fabricate custom metal stair and railing systems
Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and field measurements
Grind, Buff and, and finish metal to meet quality standards
Assist with layout and assembly of projects in the shop
Safely transport and install finished products on job sites
Ensure installations are level, plumb, and meet client expectations
Communicate with team members, project manager, and clients when needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety procedures and company standards

Qualifications
5+ years of fabrication and welding experience (custom/architectural preferred)
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Experience with field installation and use of common hand and power tools
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on active job sites
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred

Basic knowledge of construction or carpentry
Experience operating shop equipment (band saw, drill press, ironworker, etc.)
Forklift or equipment operation experience
3d modeling (sketchup experience)

Compensation & Benefits
-Competitive hourly minimum pay (we will guarantee a minimum pay)
Compensation for this role is based on a per-project (piece-rate) structure, with pay tied directly to the number and type of stair/rail systems completed. This allows high-performing team members to earn more based on efficiency, quality, and output.
