Welding & Assembly Technician — Temporary Position
**Pay:** $18/hour starting
**Duration:** 12–24 weeks
**Schedule:** 4 days/week, 10-hour shifts
**Overtime:** Fridays may be required based on workload
### About the Position
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team in a **Welding & Assembly** position for a 12–24 week temporary assignment.
**No previous welding experience is required.** We are willing to train the right person. A background or interest in welding, fabrication, mechanics, or hands-on work is preferred.
### Responsibilities
- Assist with welding and metal fabrication
- Assemble and prepare metal components
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Follow drawings, measurements, and work instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Learn and follow proper shop safety procedures
- Work efficiently as part of a team
- Perform physically demanding tasks when necessary
**Required:**
- Reliable and punctual — **being on time is extremely important**
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work a 10-hour shift
- Ability to work occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays when needed
- Ability to safely perform physical shop work
- Welding experience or education
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Fabrication, construction, automotive, or other hands-on experience
- Ability to read basic measurements and drawings
The most important thing is **reliability and willingness to learn**. You don't need to be an experienced welder to apply. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, show up on time, and are willing to learn, we'd like to hear from you.
