The New Motor is a custom architectural millwork and metal fabrication studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We design, engineer, build, and install high-end custom millwork and metalwork for architects, designers, brands, and general contractors. We don't cut corners — we bring serious attention to detail and stand behind everything we make.

We're looking for a skilled Woodworker to join our millwork team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Build custom architectural millwork, casework, cabinetry, and displays
Run shop machinery: table saw, panel saw, jointer, planer, router, edgebander, etc.
Work in plywood, hardwoods, veneers, solid surface, and laminates
Read and build from shop drawings and cut lists
Sand, prep, and assemble to a high standard of fit and finish
Help with on-site installation when needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Real hands-on woodworking / millwork experience (custom, architectural, or high-end cabinetry a big plus)
Confident and safe on standard shop machinery
Able to read shop drawings and take accurate measurements
Precise, organized, and proud of clean, tight work
Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet in a shop environment
