Do you have a passion and love for woodworking – repairing and refinishing furniture and woodworking? Would you enjoy building custom pieces? We are hiring someone with the experience, skills, and especially positive and professional people skills to join our successful team. We are a growing, faith-based company in Kapolei that is passionate about our craft. We are a well known shop with many high end clientele, insurance companies, commercial accounts, and private customers. Restoring heirloom and vintage furniture and antiques as well as multiple other wood items are our specialty. If it’s wood, we probably work on it! If you enjoy fixing things and solving problems while working alongside great people, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Work Includes:
- Commercial and residential work – some high end
- Touch ups of minor damage
- Complete restoration of wood and rattan furniture
- Other misc projects. This is a craft where you will be learning new things most of the time.
- Maintaining the safest and cleanest work environment
- Operating a variety of woodworking and industrial tools and machines
- Sometimes we perform outer island work which is a fun bonus
- #1 trustworthy and full of integrity
- Basic experience with hand and power woodworking tools and some experience with woodworking is a plus
- Candidate must be able to pass a background check in order to get onto military installations and to work in customer’s homes from time to time
- High level of motivation
- Content to occasionally perform repetitive manual tasks
- Positive and professional attitude
- Excellent customer service skills – even when customers are impatient, upset, etc.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, be in good health, and be able to stand for long periods
- Be able to manage your time well and adhere to deadlines
- Forklift experience is desirable, but not required
- Must be on time to work each day
Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30 pm (and the rare weekend)
