Working Field Supervisor for Roofing Division - Paid Weekly

Metro Property Services is a commercial roofing contractor servicing commercial property managers, building owners, and facility managers in Northeast Florida for 35 years. We are actively seeking a Field Supervisor for our Roofing Service Department.

The candidate for this position will be a working supervisor who coordinates activities and tasks on roofing job sites involving installation and/or repair of commercial roof systems (built-up, modified bit, and single ply). The roofing supervisor will ensure timely professional and courteous response to customers and work with other onsite trades in the same manner. Additionally, he/she will install, waterproof and/or repair sheet metal, flashings, drains, gutters, all related roof components.

Position Details:

• Inspect roofs to identify leaks
• Provide written estimates of labor and materials to Roof Manager
• Take pictures of job sites before and after work
• Assign and supervise job site tasks of projects from start to finish
• Motivate employees to work together as a team
• Train new or inexperienced roofers how to make proper repairs
• Maintain a clean job site
• May perform carpentry work related to roofing projects.
• Pre-plan for daily activities, materials/equipment needed
• Manage schedule and resources to complete projects on deadline and on budget
• Operate hand/electric/power tools
• Follow company and OSHA safety guidelines, check safety conditions on job site
• Inspect work of others and ensure company standards are met on every project
• Complete paperwork either in writing or on phone/computer as required
• Attend safety meetings and other training
• Ensure proper care of tools, equipment, and vehicles

Qualifications/Requirements:

• English literacy
• Have a current valid driver's license with less than 6 points
• Have balance, stamina, strength and ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Familiar with building codes, uplift calculations, manufacturer's installation and repair requirements
• Ability to inspect structures and determine repair needs
• Has interpersonal skills, professional demeanor in customer and company encounters
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience
