Working Foreman / Lead Installer – Gates & Fencing – $28–$30/hr

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and work alongside a small installation crew
• Install gates, fencing, railings, posts, panels, hardware and related exterior products
• Weld and perform field fabrication and modifications as required
• Fabricate and assist in the shop when needed
• Measure and lay out work accurately in the field
• Drill, cut, fit, anchor and assemble steel and other materials
• Install and adjust gate hardware, hinges, closers and related components
• Read drawings, measurements and job scopes
• Coordinate with our fabrication shop regarding measurements, drawings, materials and required modifications
• Make sure tools, hardware and materials are ready for each job
• Manage the company truck, tools and job materials
• Identify field problems and help determine practical solutions
• Direct crew members and make sure everyone understands what needs to be done
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors and other trades
• Monitor workmanship and quality throughout the job
• Document work with jobsite photos and completion information
• Keep jobsites organized and leave them clean

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Hands-on welding experience required
• Gate, fence, railing, ornamental iron or architectural metal installation experience strongly preferred
• Fabrication experience
• Strong construction and mechanical skills
• Experience leading or directing other installers or laborers
• Ability to work independently and make good field decisions
• Ability to read drawings and work from measurements
• Comfortable working with steel as well as other fencing and exterior building systems
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Dependable, organized and professional with customers
• Able and willing to perform physical installation work every day

COMPENSATION AND OPPORTUNITY
$28–$30/hour to start, depending on experience. Full-time position. Company truck and tools provided for work-related use.
Provalis is growing, and this position has the opportunity to develop into a larger field-management role. We are looking for someone who can become a key part of our field operation as the company expands.
Our projects are throughout Greater Los Angeles, with significant work on the Westside. This position requires regular travel between our fabrication resources in the San Fernando Valley and jobsites throughout Los Angeles.
