WORKING LANDSCAPE FOREMAN – $35-$50/HR – GROWING COMPANY

D&G Gardening is a licensed landscape contractor serving San Diego County. We are continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Working Landscape Foreman / Project Supervisor to assist with landscape construction projects on an as-needed/project basis initially, with the opportunity for increasingly consistent work as our project volume grows.

We are looking for someone with strong technical landscape-construction knowledge who is also an excellent communicator and crew leader.

You should be able to look at a project scope, understand what needs to be accomplished, communicate clearly with the crew and management, recognize problems before they become expensive mistakes, and make sure work is being installed correctly.

This is a hands-on position. You will be expected to work alongside the crew while also providing technical direction and maintaining workmanship and productivity.

Strong experience is desired in:

Paver installation and proper base preparation

Retaining wall construction
Artificial turf installation
Irrigation installation, troubleshooting and repair
DG and decorative rock installation
Grading and landscape preparation
Planting and plant layout
Sod installation
Drainage
General landscape construction and renovation

We want someone who communicates clearly about job progress, potential problems, questions about the scope, and anything in the field that needs management's attention. We are looking for someone who can work well with different crews and help keep everyone on the same page.

Ideal candidate has several years of professional landscape-construction experience and previous experience as a foreman, lead installer or project supervisor. Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.

Schedule: Initially as-needed/project-based. D&G is growing and our project pipeline is expanding. For the right person, there is an opportunity for substantially more consistent work and responsibility as we continue to grow.

Pay: $35–$50/hour DOE. The upper end is intended for someone with broad technical knowledge who can confidently lead projects in the field with limited supervision.
